DAYZ is so trash and steam wouldn't refund me

I couldn't play it a single time, what a horrible game. Takes me 2 hours to join my friends, another hour to sit in queue and then once i finally find a weapon, i can't equip it?!? Worst experience in my life, somehow my friends managed to convince me to rebuy it after i refunded. Now steam doesn't bother looking at the case for a refund. UBISOFT is better where i can contact their support directly AND ACTUALLY GET HELP

Because refunds are an automatic system. All it does is check whether you played it for 2 hours or more, or if you owned it for 2 weeks or longer.

If you want to get a refund beyond that you will have to open a manual ticket about it. Support -> Click on the Game -> i have a question about this purchase.


Keep in mind that they can still say no, and if they do it's final.

EDIT: with 7.2 hours that's unlikely to happen though. They usually make exceptions if it's 1 hour above or something and you have a good reason, this though i highly doubt.

And? All play time counts. So how does that detail make you more eligible for a refund?

You can try a manual ticket. Find the purchase, choose the "I have a question about this purchase" option and explain politely. Keep in mind that they can still say "no", if they do take that as a final answer.

Also keep in mind that not getting your way doesn't mean that support is trash. It simply means you didn't get your way.

So you bought the game after forgoing your license to it for a refund and you expect Valve to refund you again? This could be considered as abusing Valve's refund policy, though that might depend on how long ago you bought Dayz the first time.

I don't know whether or not it will make you feel differently, but I felt the same way. This was mostly because I was playing strictly official DayZ servers, which although fun sometimes, aren't really ideal if you're just starting out. I would check out DayOne servers, namely Namalsk. My playtime shot up drastically after I found this server. Not everyone kills on sight, a lot of players are willing to form groups and run with you. I would definitely recommend any newer DayZ player to this server.

All playtime counts. Previous game time and ownership usually always results in a denial of refund if not within the proper timeframe, but refunding the same thing more than once could likely setoff the abuse warning.
