Do Dualsense controllers map buttons/glyphs properly now?
I'm once again in the market for a controller to run on my PC and have one question that will determine which one I go with. In the past I've always went Playstation controller and was always forced to see Xbox (xinput) buttons/glphys in game. It annoyed me to no end. DS4Windows worked sometimes but not all the time and it was frustrating to say the least. Looking at the Xbox Wireless Controller and the Dulasense Wireless, my question is - in steam games nowadays in 2022, if I plug in a Dualsense controller, set it up and launch a game will I see △,▢,◯,X etc or YXBA etc as button mappings in-game??

No, most game developers still only put in support for Xbox controllers (including the button graphics) due to it being native to Windows.

In-game controller prompts are entirely on the developer to implement and some do. For example Prey (2017) has PS prompts or Xbox prompts depending on the controller plugged in.

Note: Mods are available to change prompts but not for every game.
