I enabled mature content, but Steam keeps hiding games from me.
Hi everyone,

Yesterday, I enabled mature games on my preferences, I deleted the cookies and cache, but Steam keeps hiding games in the store page.

For example, when I search The Witcher 3 on the store page, Steam says in a small corner above the search results that Witcher 3 and about thirty other games are hidden according to my preferences, but I changed my preferences.
This is highly annoying because now I’m not going to see the mature games recommended in the front page of the store, and I’ll have a difficult time manually searching games, because if I reload the search without the preferences (an option available next to the warning message), steam will display the results with a grey filter.

I am an adult, I own a credit card, I enabled mature content on my account, I deleted the cookies and cache on Steam. Maybe there are other things I should do in the options, or maybe there is nothing more to do, only wait for Steam to fix this. Should I ask Steam support, or it is the same for everybody ?

I did my best to correct my english.
Thank you for your time.

EDIT: There is a translation error in French, it says that we should tick the cases to exclude the mature games.

Witcher 3 is covered by the General, Frequent Violence and Gore and Nudity and Sexual Content options at the least.

If you have tags set to be excluded from your searches that could be what is causing the issue not just the setting to show mature content.

Of course thats assuming you ticked yes to all of the mature content options and not just one or two of them leaving it so the games can still be hidden for the ones you didn't.
I have not excluded tags. I have ticked none of the mature options, because in my language, it says that ticking it will exclude the games. And just in case there was an error of translation, I have tried every single combination possible, getting the same result.

Same for me, 3500+ games excluded for "violent" "sexual content", "nudity"... but my parameters are here: https://imgur.com/bUrUQXp (in french). I have my ignored list (435 products, mainly soundtracks or artworks dlc). I want so much violent , offensive, insulting, insulting games. I hate censorship !

Thanks, it worked. It was indeed a translation error, a huge translation error. I’ll create a topic in my language section to warn people.

Barbe Bleu, I guess you are French like me, there is a translation error in French, you need to tick all the options, otherwise a lot of games will be not show.

Yes. how did you guess that Barbe-Bleue is a french name?... Sorry I'm joking. But this new settings is not a joke but a hateful thorn in my freedom. I hate Apple with his store, and now Microsoft. Nobody should censure me except me.
