In this context, the bucks I save on lazily-discounted games, I send on other games.
Yea, completely subjective and greatly dependent on the person being able to afford a game at the current price vs those that think everything should be given to them at a lower price “because it’s old”.
They forget that Call of Duty is not Zelda or Mario Kart. The Black Ops series is not still selling millions per year long after the games were released the way Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey do.
It's sheer arrogance and greed.
Learn your place, Activision.
Black Ops since November 2010
Still no discount low enough to make me buy the games.
I'm what's called a 'Patient gamer'
lets not forget greed and suggested prices
like what is the highest price we can get gamers to pay...
old is old.. just like... new tech is new tech making the old older all the time.....
all subjective... i can afford any priced game..
but why not get more for less if you can...
some people like paying more... great...
Except some games prices rise dramatically on key sites because you can no longer get them via the store. For example Football Manager 2017 is currently £61.29 on one particular site, whereas on the same site the latest game Football Manager 2022 is £21.99 (normally £39.99).
Secondly how exactly do you get ripped off when purchasing is your choice, not mandatory and the OP wants the games at a price they want to pay so if it is not that price they do not pay.
And finally Chompman is correct - developers, publishers set the pricing and not just on Steam but Epic etc.
some do this and some do that...
i have got some great deals and paid full price for others
and got a game because it was going to be removed
only to have it return again which is more of a scam than
a rip off....
you dont have to buy to see how you could get ripped off...
i aint going to buy that its a rip off.... all subjective of course...
simple...
You cannot be ripped off because again you made the decision to purchase.
Ripped off is "i regret my purchase but it is to late to refund so i place the blame elsewhere".
Example "i drank the large Cappuccino, ate the sandwich and the dessert" and expected a refund of 50%.
The motto is "YOU get what YOU paid for".
You don't seem to understand that you can make the decision to purchase something while being aware you're being ripped off.
I am always "aware" of what i purchase. I do not buy blindly.
Or to put it another way i only buy what i require and not what is the latest trend or fad hence why i did not buy Valheim nor Call of Duty games, nor miracle pills etc.
Read what you replied to again. I think you misread it or misunderstood it.
I do not need to read it again nor did i misunderstand. You want to label it as misunderstand which is the difference.
To repeat: I am always "aware" of what i purchase. "I do not buy blindly".
Or if you prefer i only buy what i require. I did not buy Valheim nor buy Call of Duty games nor Hentai games, nor miracle pills, nor fall for scams etc.
At this point i suggest to anyone who wants the older Cod games to just wait for Microsoft to finally put them on sale for a reasonable price when/if the acquisition goes through if you don't want to give Activision absurd amounts of money for decade old games (absurd compared to what other AAA games released that long ago will go on sale for atleast)
