External Funds Used
Just read a news article you can see how much money you have spent on steam using a tool. How do you access it?

Is this really only for purchases & added funds within the store (ie excludes activated game keys valued at the current sales price for that item)? Mine seems rather high.

Correct.

This is a sum of external funds that have been applied to your Steam account, either to purchase games on the Steam store or fund your Steam Wallet.

Retail purchases are not included.

Sorry got to semi revive this one.

It should deduct refunds as well?
What does PW spent mean tho? Is it in game spending? (Not dlc but like boost or something i got a zero so i can't really interpret this)

Nwm found it.

OldSpend represents funds which were put into your account before April 17 2015 (the date "Limited User Account" restrictions were put in place). PWSpend represents funds spent on Perfect World accounts. Perfect World Entertainment is a Chinese developer which has a partnership with Steam, allowing Valve to operate Dota 2 and CS:GO in China.

I have seen other Steam users say that External Funds Used does not show the correct amount for them, too. I don't know what causes that issue for some accounts but not for other accounts. External Funds Used shows a reasonable amount for me, but I have never tried to add up all of my purchases made with external funds on Steam to see if the amount is correct.
On the external spending page what is this line i have. What is the 4 for?

4 2021-05-08 13:04:23.307 $0.00

This is a sum of external funds that have been applied to your Steam account, either to purchase games on the Steam store or fund your Steam Wallet. These values are calculated only when needed and are not always current. If the values are not presented below, they are not currently stored in our database but you can always find a full list of your purchases at https://store.steampowered.com/account/history. "TotalSpend" is the total amount of external funds applied to your account. This value is used to determine if an account is a "Limited User Account". "OldSpend" is the amount of external funds applied before Friday, April 17, 2015 18:00:00 UTC. If your account was linked to Perfect World for CS:GO or Dota 2, "PWSpend" will be the approximate USD value of funds applied from Perfect World, otherwise that value will be zero.
