The plenary EP debate is gonna happen in september most likely - IF the committee green-lights it.
Also it's not like GDPR, that was a regulation, this would be a directive.
Also also, many of us, myself included, are bugging our EP representatives over it. Wrote to all of them, could call the ones that didn't respond.
If mere aspects of a game can offend certain peoples sensibilities these days enough to cause change/removal or censorship, having the means in any game to take what could be deemed inappropriate for whatever reason, could well usher in changes to how screenshots are used, stored,etc.
