Did Steam block Turkey from redeeming wallet codes?
I bought some codes for my friend in Turkey but steam says the following:

"There was an error redeeming the entered code.
The code may be invalid. Please carefully verify the characters as you re-enter the code and double check to see if you've mistyped your key. I, L, and 1 can look alike, as can V and Y, and 0 and O.
The code may not yet have been activated. It may take several hours after time of purchase before activation is completed by your retailer, please wait and try redeeming the code again in a little while.
If the currency of the code you are attempting to redeem is different than the region in which you are located, you may not be able to redeem this gift card to your account. If this is the case please return this code to the retailer where it was purchased.
If the problem persists, please contact Steam Support for further assistance."

Before someone thinks I'm trying to avoid store prices or something, my friend actually lives in Turkey and I double checked that the codes were made for Turkey, so what's the problem? :9Zzz:

Your friend lives in Turkey but you do not hence why those "Turkey" codes do not work.

Not trying to avoid your store prices. Of course you are because as you put it:

Ever since people started region hopping when a country's currency crashes, Valve decided to put an end to sending wallet funds to/from their countries. Argentina and Turkey are 2 that can no longer do this.
Find a legit website that has Turkish Lira wallet cards for Steam. Or send them money using another service like Paypal or whatever.

What are those online stores? I'm actually asking for options here. My country doesn't sell physical wallet codes.

Send your friend money with PayPal or similar, region-hoppers ruined code gifting

What about Paysafe?

Basically any site that lets you move money from one account to the other works

So Steam support told me there was a small maintenance for wallet codes in this region, and wallet codes work again. Phew. :chocoxmas:

Thanks for this, too, I didn't know Steam lists legit stores.
