Why most games aren't on sale?

aren't all games suppose to be on sale today? most of the games aren't even on sale. Are the sales changing daily or what?

Who says games have to be offered at lower prices today? Habit is not a rule.

Wishlist stuff and you’ll find out whenever the relevant party offers a discount. Sales are ongoing year-round.

The summer sale (usually in late June) and the winter sale (usually in late December) tend to have the best prices... I use my wishlist to help me find what is on sale...

Games are only placed on sale by their publishers (which may also be developers in the case of indie games). Not all publishers will put their games on sale at any given time.

Furthermore, Steam also has rules about what games may or may not participate in certain sales events (as well as other rules about sales that publishers have to follow) -- for example, only games with appropriate theming may participate in Halloween sales.

I've noticed that they might not have the best prices for specific games, in comparison to those games going on sale at other random times of the year, but the two big semi-annual sales have the greatest number of games on sale at the same time, because they're the biggest sales events on Steam.

I don't think that today was a sale I may be wrong but I get on steam sometimes and I always get notified when there's a sale, I think steam does that to everyone and today I did not get one, So I don't know
