Question, why is steam in favor of their own wallet. And not of that of others. Why can't certain countries download games, cause of lootboxes. Why does steam go along with this. But keep selling their own games like dota and csgo in these countries. Forbidden is forbidden. No lost ark in Belgium and the Netherlands, also means no dota and csgo, according to the same laws. In my country lootboxes, and the sell of games which have them where forbidden. After a parent, lost their credit card to their kids which bought a csgo skin. Read again, no games with lootboxes from other company's, and developers. Cause a kid bought a csgo skin. Either remove all, games with lootboxes, including dota and csgo cause of the leaky uncontrolled sales. Or no games. In short dota and csgo should regio locked by agreement and law in 17 countries. That includes end of this year, Spain and Ireland. To be rough, can we say goodbye, to 2 steam moderators. Which valve will release for good. Cause of the law. I want LOST ARK.

No this is to make them woke. They keep selling games much worse, when it comes to lootboxes. Compared to that of lost ark. You can get everything in the lootboxes in lost ark, through grinding. Meaning, it's up to the player. Where most games they sell, you will never win what's in it. But you need to buy it. Also, they really need to lay off some moderators, end this year. Cause the countries they live in. Are about to ban lootboxes too. Which will make valve a unreliable legal partner. If they keep them apployed. I just want lost ark. Not the more addictive games like dota and csgo.

this is a USER FORUM, it is not a point of contact with steam nor the people that make decisions.

what regions a game is available in is set by that games developer/publisher.

if you have an issue with forum moderation - game hub moderator you have to contact that games developer. global steam moderator - report them thru their profile

what country a moderator lives in has nothing to do with their ability to do their job.

your post comes across as you being mad and blaming everyone else for your problems, even when they have nothing to do with your problem.

if you think a game should be banned in your region, take it up with your lawmakers. if you feel a game that was banned should be allowed, take it up with your lawmakers.

some games have set up different rules for how the "lootboxes" work in different regions to make them comply with the regions laws.

make them woke? stop using meaningless buzzwords.

I am not sure i understand the reason for banning. If i see a loot box and need money to buy it,
i dont do.
Why does the whole game need to be banned? That does not make sense.

I mean its not that you get poor by seeing the loot boxes.
They could just disable the surprise mechanic for those countries, or for people who are not the right age.

Because the governments of those countries deemed that those games count as gambling so the publishers would have been required to apply for and pay for a gambling operators license. The publishers decided it was cheaper to just not sell the games.

Because Valve made a tweak I believe that allows one to see what's in the box before purchasing it, thusly sidestepping the law. Also by removing the crate drops and what have you in other games.

My answer, i'm Pi**** off, cause they came with a law. Cause of 1 stupid parent. The result is, valve is blocking games. But, not their own games, and games which make loads of cash for them. They ban games, which are saver when it comes to banking, then dota and csgo. They even break international laws. Cause these games are blocked through steam. Cause they made an agreement with these companies. By law, they can't sell dota and csgo, if they block lost ark. And even if the agreement is made, with the dev's of lost ark. According to EU laws. When it comes to marketing and the sale of games. Valve needs to make a choice. Meaning no lost ark, also means no csgo and dota according to the same laws. I'm sick, of bumping in to region locked games. Which are fully legal according to EU laws.

I assume the company who made those games pulled them of your market. Because they dont care to adjust them.

Steam has asked for billing addresses, correct. A minor can't have a billing address. If a grown up, above 18. Wants to make a choice, then it's his choice. But 1 single minor who used dad's credit card. Should not be the reason, that millions are blocked now.

Meaning, valve is breaking a EU law, when it comes to monopolizing software. Which is a bigger law breaker in the EU then selling games with lootboxes. And has a bigger fine.

They agree to it. Point is, by law. They should not have. Our gov has their own casino's. So what's wrong here.
