An alternate suggestion is to make your Inventory fully private, instead of - fully - publicly available as it is now.

First, the item would pretty much need to be one of the most recent (if not the most recent) point shop purchase. Second, you would need to have games you can refund that would cause you to drop to a negative point total. Finally, to resolve the negative points the system will automatically start refunding point shop items until you have a point total => zero.
