Why so much porn on steam

It's insane how many hentai/visual novel with nudity/porn games are constantly on the "new and popular" tab.

Actual indie games that have trouble getting the publicity they need and deserve on launch often only stay on that page for about 2 days, while i see so many porn games stay there for a week or longer.

What's up with that? How does this system of them being listed and staying even work?
Are there so many degenerates that buy every similar looking hentai game that the algorithm keeps them listed on the front page like that?


I'm all for allowing adult content in games and adult themed games being a thing to begin with, but it should definitely not constantly be on the front page like this.
99% of these "games" seem to be some rushed, copy paste sex games, they're more shameless than mobile games that feed on paying to progress.

For anyone new here i was upset that the majority of new&trending was NSFW visual novels, look at the "marked as awnser" response to filter stuff like that out.

I love these topics which appear often, There are settings in your profile to filter this out. Also you really have to search for these games to say that there are many on Steam.

Let me sumerise it for you , people get old and not all of them want to play games that the young dominate like Fortnite, competitive shooters or moba games like lol or dota , most of them don't find RPGs like spider-man or batman and similar games interesting either.

I'm 22 and I find adult games more fun than any other game right now because it gives me the dopamine rush I need to keep going compared to getting stressed or bored at simpler games targeted at the younger age.

Plus most of the people let's say 8 out of 10 people in this age don't get any girls and or may not have had sex yet and they need to fill the hole somehow when being lonely these games simulate that in our brains and make us feel more fulfilled than watching porn with no story or context behind why the act is happening in the first place , girl horny and guy horny and that's why they have sex end of story okay that is boring.

If you can't understand these concept's then I'm afraid you are either too young or you already have someone close to you to give you what you need.
