Did Steam ban Pre Paid credit card?

The Shops in my home town stopped getting Steam Cards (one of them keep making new orders but they never got delivered) so i resorted to buying Visa and Mastercard pre paid credit cards to make my purchase and keep getting this message.

I am starting to get freaking pissed here, i am i gonna get stuck being unable to make any puchase until something get done?

Try loading on the Steam Wallet and see if that works, in some cases it will compared to purchases for prepaid/gift cards:

If successful, then utilize the reloaded Steam Wallet balance to make the purchases.

Keep in mind some pre-paid/gift cards also come with instructions on how to use the card for online purchases, which may include online registration.

The cards are registered, i made purchase with them on another website and there are still money left on them so i don't see what the hell is going on here.

example being, i seen that same thing a year or so back, when trying to add wallet funds... needless to say, my bank said there was nothing on hold or any purchase made or pending coming from steam, in general... the purchase never made it past steam.

little while later (maybe an hour... or less) i tried again and added wallet funds with no issue.

refillable prepaid cards have to be registered, prepaid one time use cards do not have to be registered, the distinction needs to be made here.

Generic Error? I get this every day when i tried to use one of the cards, I just emptied one of them to buy Star Craft Remastered and Cartooned on Battle.Net. I know Activision/Blizzard got that scandal going, but since i could not use it on steam, i went elsewhere and bough something else i wanted to buy a while ago.

Not sure what happened, but i managed to make it work after a few tries.
