Ps4 controller not detected
Hello guys ! I need help. I can't use my Ps4 controller on my windows 10 computer. I have tested everything! Uninstalling (Hid Game controller ....) .But nothing worked. I tried in Bluetooth (White light on the controller) but still not working. And with cable (orange blinking light). I changed two times the cable still not working . At least when i tried on another computer it worked. I'm desperate. Can someone help me :( ?

Disconnect the DS4 from your PC then put a pin in the reset hole on the back of the DS4 and hold for 10 seconds. Next reconnect the DS4 to your PC wired.

You should hear the connection sound. Next type joy.cpl in the search on the taskbar and press Enter. You should see a wireless controller when joy.cpl boots. Click ok and exit Joy.cpl if it shows a wireless controller.

Boot Steam then go to Steam > Settings > Controller > General Controller Settings

Untick all the boxes except for Playstation Configuration Support

Hey thanks for the reply ! I just did it but nothing changed and when i do joy.cp i have no controller in it. If you need screens or things like that just tell me :)

Reboot your PC. It could be Windows playing up and not detecting the controller.

Once rebooted try plugging the cable into different usb ports.

Still nothing ...

Download Playstation Now for PC. Install it. Once installed run it and plug the controller in.

Next type joy.cpl in the search on the taskbar and press Enter.

Is there any entry for a controller?
might not help but it wont hurt if there is grey listings...

go into

device manager....
click on view (at the top)
click on.. show all hidden devices..

go down to and
open USB controllers and delete any grey listing..
do the same in USB devices

Windows think it's an audio headset or things like that. In the Bluetooth setting "Wireless Controller" is in audio
Nx Machina Nov 20, 2021 @ 8:34pm
The DS4 has audio built into the controller hence why Windows also sees it as an audio device. In Device Manager while the DS4 is connected uninstall ALL audio devices associated with the DS4. You may need to reboot your PC.

Uninstall Playstation Now for PC as that did not work.

Next go to https://github.com/Ryochan7/DS4Windows/releases and download the appropriate file - x86 or x64.

Keep the DS4 connected.

Extract the file (unzip).

Create a desktop shortcut of the DS4Windows.exe (blue icon) inside the folder.

Double click the desktop icon. Is the controller detected? If not disconnect then reconnect.

Did you put a pin in the reset hole and hold it for 10 seconds?

The DS4 needs to be completely reset to disassociate it.

Are you using the same cable you used on the other PC?
