I wanna report a trademark violation.
The names "Draconia" and "Draconia City" are trademarked to me, Kerry Freeman.

How do I go about reporting these thieves to Steam?

EDIT: DMCA report filed.

You .... have copyright .... over a word and a two-word phrase?

:kentconfused: I don’t think you understand copyright.

Although it’s certainly spurious, as presented, I think you’d want to attempt a DMCA takedown?

That's correct. The name "Draconia" is my property, for anyone other than me to use it for profit is illegal.

How do I get the process started?

Do you mean a trademark? Because copyright does not protect names, titles, slogans and so forth. As for a trademark, have you applied for one?

I think you’re confusing copyright and trademark a bit.

You shouldn’t—see “spurious.”

It's self-protected. You don't need to apply for either a trademark or a copyright, all you need is a copy of your work.

You're right, I was.

IIRC, one must apply for and be granted a trademark—the legal protections and processes are not analogous to copyright.

Not how copyright laws work. Have fun with your claims that have no merit to them.

Hmmm ... Google says names are not protected by copyright law.

You call your attorney and have them take up the issue with the game's publisher and developer.

But they are protected by trademark.

Trademark and Copyright are different. As I said, you should call an attorney and discuss your options with them.

Draconian as been around since the 1700's and draconia is a term used to describe it so your belief you own it since you have "used" in discord since 2012 has no merit.
