All jokes aside, Steam might not be able to do anything here. Several pics do push the envelope, and some of those gifs r more then just suggestive. But the game(more like software design tool) does have "Adult" listed in its tag.
Also on the games main and review pages, there is no nudity(it took me awhile to find it actually). And all I saw was 1 pic of a topless Tifa(which will probably get taken down by the guys who run the portal). So yeah not much we can do here.
It was a nice pic tho. Artist did a good job.
this is correct if your talking about "pornography addiction"
just like any addiction can be harmful... i.e. computer game addiction
computer browsing/scrolling/shopping addiction
After going back and digging deeper(giggity) into their pics and artwork sections, yeah ur not kidding; there is some straight up porn over there. Sadly however, most of it is just Risque. The nude ones only represent about 10% at most. Though admittedly 1 caught me off-guard. That IRL pic of a girl with blue-hair. She is very pretty tho.
Idk man. I feel like its more of a "Wallpaper Engine" issue then a Steam one. Since these r from the users/community over there who r just posting it there and not advertising it. I.e they may be exploiting a gray area in the rules here.
Tbh, we wouldn't have known about this at all until u brought it to our attention.
I believe Steam do have a responsibility to be aware and have a say in what is allowed on their site. People who offer a service should have a regard for their consumers. This is a mixed age site there should be standards in place.
We are at the top of a very slippery slope, if they are using a grey area to showcase their work then perhaps a step into something darker.
I'll say it again, its sadly a Wallpaper Engine problem more then a Steam problem. The community over there is clearly dominated by the Weeb crowd (90 to 95%). And thats what they like. But they aren't advertising it on the main pages. Most people don't look at the artwork and pictures pages and Steam knows this(which is probably how they have gotten away with it for this long). I don't, I only look at reviews and the main pages. Even with games I own I rarely interract with the community hub at all.
