Steam Client causes screen to flicker (solved)
Hello,

So I launched Steam today and noticed my screen flickers on and off while on the store page. If I scroll through the store page it gets worse. It's the only tab where this happens. I can go to the Library tab or any other tab and everything is fine. Once I go back to the Store tab my screen starts to flicker on and off again. Steam is the only app where this happens. Steam client is up to date, I even uninstalled and reinstalled Steam to try and fix the issue but it continues to happen.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

I was able to resolve this or a very similar issue not by updating my drivers (updated several versions over the month I experienced this), but by going into Steam Settings > Interface > Disable GPU Acceleration in Web Views.

@Strife.Modus Thank you for this post, I was having the same issue and it seemed to get worse when I upgraded my gpu.

I disabled the GPU acceleration and Bam! problem not only solved but steam runs much smoother.

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
