Now Halo Infinite is out will 343 work on Halo 5 Guardians Version for PC?

To Gamestar they said (I freely trnslate from german to english) they now there is interest for Halo 5 PC Version but they focus on Halo Infinite I know Halo Infinite Campaign is not what everyone thought it will be but Iwant to play Halo 5 on PC now they have free Recources isn't this the right time to get this started? what do others think?

Very unlikely now with Halo Infinite but the may release the campaign down the line but they wont want the MP portion colliding with Infinite. Nobody really knows. Halo 5 is garbage anyway.

Maybe they can somewhat port/remaster 5's story part into it

To be honest, I would be more insterested if they ported the original trilogy to PC. I know it's next to impossible and there's the MasterChief Collection, but I prefer the original experience.

The MCC allows you to switch to the old versions of the game at the press of a button. It's basically the same

Halo 5 is already on PC in a way. You can get the Forge pack on the Microsoft store that gives you forge mode then you can play in custom games only. So it's like half the work is done they just need to bring campaign over. I expect it will happen eventually. Would be silly to leave out one single game when every other Halo game is on PC.

It does seem strange that they went through the effort to bring the MC Collection and Infinite to PC but left Halo 5 out. If you are a PC player and want to play all of the campaigns in order, you're screwed with an entire campaign being left out IMO. I hope they release it on PC eventually.

Technically you can play H5 on PC via Microsoft's XCloud streaming service (part of XBox GamePass). Since there's already a workaround, they're not too concerned about porting the whole thing over, especially for a 6+ year old game. The MCC was only brought to PC so they could unify the servers and try and milk everyone for cash again.

halo 5 with mod support would be cool. i hope it's ported next along with halo wars 2 on steam.

Agreed. I actually forgot about Halo Wars 2. I'd like to see both ported to PC.

Yeah surprised Halo Wars 2 never came to steam along with all the other MS games. Bit odd really. Its a great game.

I'd love a full PC version of Halo 5 on steam actually, game can be many things but it's really fun to play
