Use your normal Webbrowser and add the Avatars you don't want to see to your blocklist.

Always cracks me up. In an industry obsessed with the depiction of ultra violence, and it's boobs that people consider to be more problematic. Gaming would be far better for all if it focused more on boobs and pecs than on guns and death.
Oh no, you might see something above a PG rating! The absolute horror! Steam should bend to the will of people who are too sensitive to ignore something now!
Then they're not breaking any rules. If you don't like it there's this nifty thing where you just scroll past it. Do you run around on the street screaming for things you don't like to be censored as well?
