I was just a lowly intern C++ dev there aiding the doc team in Santa Monica(right before they moved). Anyway are they still forcing everyone to use yim for basic communication?

Anyway, fortunately I've never had to turn on silent mode... but if I did would it even remind me to turn it off and check again every once in a while?
lol, we have one hour and up to 24 hours for silent mode, there are no reminders, just time limits haha.
whoops sent from other account, i have four sorry for any confusion...

Norton is harder to remove than a virus.

Bloatware marginally better than malware.
I remember. Cleaning a computer of a friend of mine, the Norton uninstaller didnt work. So I hard-removed it. Result: network dead. Yup, Norton is malware.

i've been using steam and norton for very long time (norton 20+ years while steam 10+), never had norton to flag steam before

And you're running the same versions of both? Experiences you had years ago with both versions of the software don't predict what false positives will occur tomorrow.

And you're not the first one to trust their AV mindlessly and assume commercial software used by millions is somehow infected and you cracked the case...

I had it happen as well Norton caught it but not before it had removed my Steam Shortcut after trying to play galactic civ 4 after its latest update defiantly sus'. The game was trying to load for ages and then got the error message this shortcut to steam no longer exists i reinstalled steam to another location.
This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
