Isn't as much poor performance with steam as it is with the pc you are using. I can load reddit fine in the steam overlay browser.
My pc isn't the issue. Steam overlay has been running piss poor the last few years. Before I was able to watch youtube without any issue, and check any game related info I want to look up without any problems. But now, every time I try to open a reddit post for a thing in a game that I'm looking for an answer it keeps refreshing the website until steam crashes.
Looking up stuff for whatever game I'm playing.
Not a steam caused problem, it's a reddit issue.
Is not the pc .
thanks, I'll give this a try the next time I play project zomboid.
It is, as again I can load reddit fine using the steam overlay. Troubleshoot where it could be causing this on your pc.
I also have multiple Friends with the same issue, Setups raning from old af budget PC's, to brand new High End Beast Machines. Defo something that Steam broke.
Tutorials, tips, Guides etc.
How about you get off your high horse and just leave the discussion if you don't have any helpful advice to FIX the issue instead of trying to tell me my PC is the problem.
As you can see by a bunch of other people, they are facing the same issue, and mind I remind you that neither of our PCs are the cause of any of this.
I agree, whenever I try to login, google tells me that the browser is unsafe and refuses to let me complete logging in. I'm fine with not being able to login but various sites running in piss poor performance make it straight up unusable.
It would be nice if steam updated the browser, or add an option for us to choose our own one but I doubt steam cares enough to change their outdated stuff.
So until this gets fixed, I'll have to resort to tabbing out every damn time I want to look something up.
Yeah, probably just the browser if anything.
