Why is steam support so complicated?
Hello!
So last years i have noticed that steam support is just getting more and more user unfriendly.
From what i see i have to youtube search on how to contact steam with questions that have not listen. Which is to me absolutly disrespectful. That is costumer service at the lowest point.
I have heard and read that Epic games are moving up fast and id like to ask you guys how you do when you have questions to steam they dont exist and you get no answer or cant even find where to get help?

Have you tried using the internet or maybe even the Steam forums to see if your issues/question has:
  • Been asked and/or answered before?
  • See if other members of the community can assist you?

It is only complicated when your issue fall outside the types support can help you with.

Sounds like your account is hijacked and you need to secure it.

It's called support>My account. Pretty self explanatory since that is literally an account related question.

And then?

Follow all the steps.
Deauthorize all devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
Change your password on a secure device.
Generate new back up codes. https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
Revoke the api key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey
And asking support is not necessary once you secure your account.

you ask on the forums about the problem, then someone post this:

your account is compromised
DO NOT TRADE
If you have access to the account

Steps to take NOW:
1. Scan for malware https://www.malwarebytes.com/
2. Deauthorize all other devices https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
3. Change passwords from a clean computer
4. Generate new backup codes for your Mobile App https://store.steampowered.com/twofactor/manage
5. Revoke the API key https://steamcommunity.com/dev/apikey (there should be nothing in the APIKEY)

Please review how you are logging into Steam, you somehow gave them your log in information. This could of been due to the computer being compromised and redirecting to a fake login, or you using a 3rd party site to login to steam.
