You can set your profile to private, however that will not hide the ban. The ban remains visible for anyone to see.
Setting a profile to Private does not hide VAC bans or profile displayed Game bans.
That is not a VAC ban, it is a game ban.
Both VAC and game bans display for 10 years (I think), but are permanent and public - even after 10 years, an API query will still show it.
7 Years for VAC
Game ban is permanent and may follow you. You cannot hide it.
Don't ever try the "banned for no reason" stuff, every cheater tries that when they get caught.
Game bans haven't quite existed for 7 years yet, so we'll see.
Ouch. I am wrong, very, very wrong. July 19, 2014 a whole 2781 days ago. 7.619178 years ago.

I resend my previous statement about game bans also being hidden after 7 years and apologize for the interruption.
Strange, every old webpage I can find from when game bans were first introduced are from April 2015, so I don't know how he has a much older game ban.
Seems like he used a FOV changer in CoD Ghosts.

And those are not allowed as their pinned thread states.
