And i think yes, microsoft sells xbox game pass at profit i believe, but it's not that that big of a profit, but it's main objective like many other platforms such as netflix and amazon, is to create an empire of streaming games or a subscription method that would be so good that it's hard to say no to it, pretty much like it was netflix in the past when it hardly had any competitors i believe.
I think it's only about time since they will add it also there.
Valve by having gamepass on pc only make the steam deck even more consumer-friendly,you can get a steamdeck, subscribe on gamepass and play games from steam with all steam benefits like steam cloud saves, also with this move while steam deck grows in popularity also linux will grow so it's a win for steam definitely.
The only reason microsoft may not want to put gamepass on steam is for don't pay a cut price, but idk about that they maybe can find an agreement good for both, or to be more of a competitor to linux, but if the steam deck will be as popular as it appears, going in the wave of its popularity to increase your subscription method seems like the best idea anyway.
Valve currently dominates PC gaming, and Microsoft understands this, even though they do offer their own alternative. Valve is also pushing PC gaming into Linux in a big, big way. I think Microsoft would rather work with Valve than against them, as evident by happily offering Microsoft games on the Steam platform. If Microsoft wants to sell services, might as well expand those services into everything, and Steam already has a massive platform and user-base.
Also, Phil Spencer and Gabe just seem to get along WAY better than Gabe did with the last guy. There's totally been a bit of bridge building since the "Win 8 incident".
- Xbox Console Gamepass <--- Only for Xbox doesn't come with Xbox gold, needed for multiplayer.
- Xbox PC Gamepass <--- Only for PC, Xbox gold not needed, nor does it come with it.
- Xbox Game Pass Ultimate Game <--- includes both Xbox Console & PC Gamepass, as well comes with Xbox gold.
but there is no gamepass in a launcher nobody have gamepass for pc because we dont know where to find it
Really isn't hard especially if you can use the likes of Steam. People have been playing on Game Pass on PC for quite a while now...
