Questions about Israel currency change from USD to ILS.

Some games since the change are not available to purchase.

I.E COD WW2, GTA V, Undertale .. Just some games I noticed.. Why is that, before the change we could buy those no problem..

I put Valve under a different category.
There's a difference between Valve, who researched (or should have researched) the actual conversion rates, and chose to recommend something else, and publishers who just trusted their word.
My "Group A" and "Group B" comparison was purely about the publishers.
But if you want to put Valve somewhere, then yes, they fit better with Group B.

I'm not gonna try enforcing my philosophy on anyone.
The devs / pubs were given an option to rip us all off, and as people who sell a product they made the most natural decision IMO.
I would rip any other regional market off as well if I had the chance to do it at one platform to maximize my profits, while knowing that if they want to, they can just buy my game for a cheaper price from an alternative shop.

As long as they still sell cheaper at other places then I got nothing to take personal here.
It's just business.

EDIT: I don't know if it's been mentioned, but the Humble Store is having a sale right now.
Just thought many of you will find it useful.
And they'll also have a Winter Sale next month, so none of you should feel disappointed from the Steam Store screwing this up, good alternatives always exist.

First of all, Valve allows you to activate keys from other stores within Steam, instead of restricting you to the Steam Store.
That IS Valve giving you an alternative.

Second, the publishers would rip you off in the same way on the other stores if they could.
And i doubt the other stores were even a factor when they decided on the new Steam prices.

I contacted SEGA about their pricing and they basically flipped me off. "We are sincerely sorry for the inconvenience but we cannot assist you further on this occasion".

If publishers are not going to take responsibility and Valve won't take responsibility then it's up to us to decide which one to blame, probably both. So like many others have said the only solution is to just buy from a third party website.

If you are done with Steam you can purchase games at GOG.com where you get DRM free games, or if you choose you can download their own app, plus you'll be supporting a great company - CD PROJEKT RED

From some of the posts here? quite a few (I think you were also among them, but i am not gonna bother checking all these pages again, so please forgive me if i am wrong).

I agree, and i am going to do the same.
It's just that some have pointed that they don't want to support these publishers, so i mentioned that by buying in another store, you're still supporting them in some way. (If you don't care about that, that's fine, but some do.)
Either way, it's far better than buying on the Steam Store with the new prices, we can all agree on that.

I just hope many people will do the same as us, what Valve and the publishers have pulled here should not be rewarded, the customers deserve better.
