Rebuying the orange box games

So when I was younger I bought all the games that were on the orange box all separately. It has come to my attention that you can still optain the proof of purchase hat in TF2 if you buy the orange box pack through the store. Now if I were to go into the support tab and remove all these games from my account could I just spend the $20 and rebuy them to get the hat??

No. Things changed a while aback and the support "remove" function will only hide the games and upon trying to purchase them again, you will get an error stating you already own X game.
