You misunderstand the system, and Steam. Outrage threads don't work here, ranting threads accomplish nothing. Steams integrity is fine. We don't need a thread complaining about games everytime someone wants to complain about a game.
Walk away, don't look back. The End.
Or wait until the 11th, do your review, then don't look back.
Real shocker there.
Read the thread and try again. Only people from a closed beta 3 months ago can leave reviews.
Name me A SINGLE OTHER GAME that has done this. I'll be waiting.
You're making a mountain out of a molehill here as the expression goes.
You're essentially dropping a nuclear bomb on your own home because you saw a Madagascar hissing cockroach. :P
Text can impart more emotion than it holds, and I agree that it isn't a mountain, but it's ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and I wanted to call it out.
But it's not crappy at all.
It's a logical thing for a closed beta test to not allow public reviews.
THat's how closed beta tests work.
So wait you’re saying the company paid off its beta testers to leave positive reviews?

Evolve would seem to be the possible where pre-release reviews originated as a feature, in 2015. Seems like Valve make explicit decisions to label the reviews as pre-release. And that the ability to review games in closed betas or other schemes has been around even longer.
The reviews will reflect the status of the game on release. Instead of complaining and arguing with users, just walk away like a normal individual.
Enough of this little crusade and arguing with people. Walk away.
There's been other games with Beta reviews, I'm fairly certain I was part of two of them. Reviews change on release. Again, walk away, this is not the place for a personal crusade or vendetta.
Oh hey look, even SWTOR had "Pre-Release Review" titles and dated reviews. What a shocker OP just spouts and demands proof when knowing one instance is not likely to be the only instance.

And within that thread, this supposed theory;

So there's no point in having 2 threads, about the same thing, when the OP knows the Game Hub forum exists and is complaining there.

Read 'Pre-release reviews'
Notice how reviews do feature the 'Pre-release review tag'
So nothing out of the ordinary. People who got to play the beta can leave pre release reviews while people who didn't have to wait for release to do so.
