Steam controller support continuously messing up everything from keyboard to controller.

For years, everythihng was working finbe in games and on desktop, but then comes some changes to controller stuff some time ago.

Now my Razer products setup done in Synapse is overruled by Steam per game basis. If i get it to work in other game, it still not working on other.. Yeasterday i got completely fed up, when i reinstalled all due other problems and nows Steam owns my keyboard and keypad completely. Pad being Tartarus v2 and Keyboard Huntsman analog.

If i have Steam running, i cant tyupe documents and if i get them to work, they soon stop again due Steam reverting something.

I do get it, that some people want to use big picture and controller for some reason, but why not have all thgis controller support as completely optional feature instead? I have my Windows setting, i have my cloud based Synapse 3. I do not need Steam messing up all the setting done on Synapse for numerous games. Why do i really want to do another setup for a game in Steam, if i allready have one in Synapse for all the games i play?

PPlease excuse me, if there is option to somehow completely remove controller support for Steam, but i have not found it yet. All i find by googling, is other gamers having numerous issues because of Steam controller support.

Disable/turn it to default Off in the gamepad Emulation screen in the Steam settings.

Think the menu entry is named gamepad (not on the PC right now so not sure)

All of that is done, but the problem persists. I got my keyboard working by twqeaking some registrry, so even while it is still recognized in Steam as Joystick, it noqw works fine. The main issue is with Tartarus keypad, which has all the buttons set up a bit differently fort each game including the possibilities given by analog keys on that device, like having tweo separate keypresses set up to one key depending on how much you push the button.

Steam loading drivers even while all the tickboxes are turned off seem to be still overriding Windows/Synapse settings. I also foresee similar problems with Huntsman analog keys, if i start to make similar configuration to it too.

Best option to have in Steam setting to prevent these issues, would be to have a way not to even recognize any controllers/keyboards/keypads by Steam ayt all if so chosen. In all games i have played which is quite a few, the Steam controller is not needed at all in anything and in most cases, iut has caused problems on games not qworking as intended like GTA missing some Controller optionsd even while it is enabled and configured or keyåpad and/or keyboard not wortking since it is recognized as joystick rather than keyboard or keypad.

In any case i dontr need controller for Steam at all, i assume in most PC gamers, we mainly use mouse for navigation and rarely bitg screen even while Steam seems to try to make us use the big screen.
