Steam Support is a joke
I opened a ticket to complain about an idiot moderator. After a back and forth they end their message with:

"if you ever feel that a moderator has misjudged a specific post, write back with a link, let us know, and we'll be happy to take a look."

Sounds like an offer to help. So I get into more detail because I actually do want to explore this, then they reply with:

"We have provided all the available information in our previous message. Since there's not much more that I can say or do to be of help with this particular issue, I am going to close this help request."

Oh, so apparently it was an empty platitude to get rid of me, not an actual offer to help.

Steam sucks and Steam Support is a very big reason for that.

there need to be some sort of a way to make moderators accountable for the actions they take.
it would appear steam support are not really able to look into what a moderator did once the moderator has issued an action.

which is weird, because you would assume that the moderator actions would be logged as well but clearly not.

even more important, they should be forced to actually respond to the moderator messages within a timeframe.. having no answers just forces you to contact steam support or write about it in the forums and in both cases they do nothing for you.

The link in your community message not allowing you to send an appeal?

No, they locked it up because they don't actually want to do their job, they want to close tickets.

Was it a steam moderator or a moderator on a game forum?

Those are two different things really as moderators on game forums are placed by the game devs / publishers and you would need to deal with them over the issues.
Maybe they closed the ticket because it was not started as they suggested.
And in the process was seen as closed.

Or did you link to the problem?

Don't forget that "looking at the issue" does NOT imply "agreeing with you about it".

They're absolutely free to simply let a ban or warning remain, because it should be there. Also remember the adage around here, that the people who complain about moderation almost always require moderation the most.

Gotta say given your visible post history there's little more to be said than "they were correct the first time." Stop breaking forum rules.

So your answer is 'yes, I can submit appeals".

Perhaps you're not being constructive enough in them.

Based on your post history, the mods are not the problem. YOU are.

As others pointed out, it might simply be a misunderstanding and conflicting agents had their lines crossed. I generally find them helpful, but when you're complaining about a moderator who is simply enforcing the rules (in this case, the support agents themselves) it becomes harder to understand the complaint.

Your complaint seems to be about 'but they broke the rules too' and that's not a valid excuse. You can't break the rules, period. If other people break them, rest assured they (too) will be warned, use the report button to make sure it's looked at.

Hope that clarifies it a bit.

They Told Me The Same Thing.

They Suggested I Post A Suggestion In STEAM Suggestions Thread,
Just So A Bunch Of Toxic People Could Bash My Post, Especially
When I Posted That I Wanted To End Toxic Posts On STEAM In The Thread.

The Support Staff: Reported The Exact Same Words Before Closing The Support Topic.

This All Would Be Extremely Avoidable If We Had Live Chat Support With STEAM Support.
& If Suggestion Threads Were Strictly Between You & Valve Workers.

I Don't Really Know, For Sure.

Not really. A hub moderation could also lead to a Steam's global ban that locks an account out from Steam's features without even an investigation from Steam's moderation.

But, all these filtered and manual enforcers are on it when it comes to petty disagreements but when a scammer could hijack an account in CSGO (mainly all source engine), send fake "report you" scams, etc. no algorithm is still not in place to deal with these MORE SERIOUS issues compared to entitled and the mods friends complaints?!

Hmm!

Steam support tells you to post on the suggestion thread to get rid of people who keep bugging them over issues they can't do anything about.

Also people disagreeing with your post when much of what you posted isn't even in steam's control does not make them toxic nor does it make them bashing.

You posted an idea, and that means people are free to post that they don't like it or post out any flaws with it of which there are too many to count.

Actually, No One Disagreed With Me At All.

They Attacked Me For No Reason. & Also? I Gave Valve Plenty Of Ideas How To Solve
Their Problems. If It's Out Of Their Control? Then They Shouldn't Be Trying To Make
These Things Worst. Because That Shows They Don't Know What Their Doing.

Not Knowing How To Do A Job, Isn't A Good Reason To Start Breaking Things.
It's A Good Reason To Show You Shouldn't Be Doing That Job.

It's Basically Called: Going Past No Return & Regretting Going There After You Were Warned. It's Called: Consequences & Taking Responsibility For Once's Actions.

Several people including myself disagreed with you and pointed out your list of suggestions is basically just any random grievance someone ever had at one point and that many of your "suggestions" for steam have absolutely nothing at all to do with steam.

Also you didn't actually post any suggestions, you posted a list of things you felt were issues with no actual suggestions on how to address the issues.

Not to mention your posting in a disruptive manner capitalizing every word.
