You should try using Steam Big Picture Support.
It'll allow you to use every possible controller to every games (unless it bugged during the injection).
BTW i don't know what is big picture :x
Big Picture Mode, has actually more Controller Options
then Little Picture Mode does...
Little PM = Controller Config in a Window
Big PM = Controller Config in Full Screen
But Big Picture Mode also has an Overlay different
from that of Desktop Mode Overlay... With more
Features, & Settings, but not many use it, due to the
lack of Updates, & how well it runs...
You get exclusive Big Picture Mode Controller
Configs not just for your Games, but also per Game
Basis, too...
You wanted to know where, or how to Access BPM?
Top right of your STEAM Desktop Mode Screen,
You will see...
Announcements, Notifications, User Name, a Box,
Minimize, Full/Windowed, & Close...
That Box next to User Name & Minimize,
the Box is actually the Button for accessing
Big Picture Mode, or alternatively if you hit
the Home Button on a STEAM Controller, it
will pop up for you, or there is a shortcut on
the Keyboard, but I forgot the shortcut...
Once in Big Picture Mode, try going under
Settings/Controller Configs... If this does not help?
Try looking under Library, your Game, & go
under Settings for the Game, there should
be I think 2 Controller Options available,
you will want to look under the 2nd Option...
if that doesn't work, try the 1st Option...
If this still does not help? Make sure that your
Controller is actually supported by the Game,
& if your on STEAM Link, or App, or STEAM
Machine, you will need a 3rd Party to make
Controllers work...
The person above me may already answered though it might hard to comprehend.
On the Top right of steam beside minimze you can see a big wide 2 arrow icon.
That is Big picture. Go to settings and setup your controller there.
You'll need a handy support for this as explaining it is quite long and you can find it on google or ask it on Help Section/Big Picture Section.
Also if your controller goes to sleep for any reason during the game then it will not be detected until you restart the game.
