You had to omit the word "sexualized" in order to make your joke.
You think they’re going to object to sexualized anthropomorphized animals where they would not do so for sexualized humans?
Look at high % of sales, positive ratings and reviews. Valve sees them as $$$.
It’s 2021, you gotta stop being a bigot and accept them. Deal with it.
You think they're gonna keep selling their games with family friendly cartoon animals on Steam when they realize Steam also sells furry content?
How do you know the company’s awareness level about Steam’s products?
Why not? They happily feature on television services where the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon are just a few pages away from the porn channels. Disney magazines can be found on the same news stands as Penthouse and Playboy.
I doubt they like it, but from a business perspective the Steam user base is hard to ignore. Some bet against it staying that way, but it doesn't usually last too long. (See Microsoft and EA.)
Disney is a very image focused brand. Their image is everything. You know Moana is known as Vaiana in Europe simply because they didn't want the character to be associated with an obscure italian pornstar that hasn't even been alive since the 90's? So, yeah. I think they aren't even aware furry content is being sold on Steam.
And the fact that the companies that pulled their advertisement off of youtube were also oblivious until a news article or two bought it to their attention is also a good indication of how clueless big companies can be.
Now, it's politics mixed in with popular purchased properties, so they're constantly shooting themselves in the foot and wondering why they need to keep laying people off other than the park closures.
Youtube being poorly ran by some of the biggest executive idiots on the planet next to most big tech is the cause of their own problems; not sticking to the root of the companies and becoming also political hacks handholding and backpatting each other which I stated before. If they got someone in charge that remembers it was about "Broadcast Yourself", it would be ran not only profitably, but more neutrally and geared towards creators, not protecting certain politics/people over everyone else. The whole dislike bit being removed from public view is a fine example of "stick fingers in ears, close eyes, pretend like the place isnt on fire".
They know advertisers they lose especially in numbers because they've been losing money and have been pushing their premium version of YT due to losing money.
YT is not Valve.
Yes, because they are not the same companies nor does one have anything to do with the other in terms of content. If one was to apply this question replacing animals/furries to anything else, you could see why they would not care.
Some games on Steam you kill people/zombies with vehicles, would pixar & disney stop making the "Cars" series or anything with vehicles because of that? No.
*looks at the content including some very ecchi anime on Hulu*
*looks at the content that airs on FX*
Yep...they're completely concerned with keeping that wholesome image these days. /s
Disney not only does business with companies that host raunchy content of all kinds, but as a company they have their fingers in plenty of dirty adult pies.
