server issues for battlefield 2042 gold
If I get battlefield 2042 gold edition and there are server issues or other issues making my playtime go over 2 hours during the early access window can i still get a refund.

Why would you even do it that way? It would just be cheaper with 0 trying to game a system just to demo a game by just getting a month of EA pro play on origin.

Why do you need more than 2 hours to test if a game works on your pc?

Hours played in beta count toward the refund window limit.

Enjoy your copy of BF2042.

"If I buy a game and play more than 2 hours, will I be able to refund"

No, you cannot expect a refund.

It does not matter in any way whether what game you're playing is in Early Access, Beta, Free Weekend, or Full Release state. Play time starts the moment you click on it.

Valve is pretty lenient on refunds, as long as you aren't doing too many and are not way out of the refund window.

The 2 hours of playtime limit doesn't mention free or paid, so unless there are other consumer laws in your country, all playtime would count.

Valve will, upon request via help.steampowered.com, issue a refund for any reason, if the request is made within the required return period, and, in the case of games, if the title has been played for less than two hours. There are more details below, but even if you fall outside of the refund rules we’ve described, you can ask for a refund anyway and we’ll take a look.

It makes zero difference what country they are in.

Once they start the game, the 'consumer laws' you want to think are 'protecting' them go out the window, as they are instantly waived at that moment.

2 hours, 2 weeks, anything else is 'maybe, probably not'.

He / she never actually played the "released" game and suddenly not eligible for a refund because of beta playtime? Nice joke so far.

That is how it works, so joke is on them. Happens all the time with both early access games and alpha/beta test periods.

Some people were getting refunds in forza 5 with 10 hours played no questions asked.

IF they were getting refunds after that amount of playtime, either:

1. It was through the publisher, not via the steam refund system.

2. It was via a manual (support ticket) refund on steam, in which case questions WOULD be asked, and refunds would be issued on a case by case basis.

Either way, what you claim to have heard is not in line with steams refund policy, thus we have little reason to accept its authenticity.

Oh, I just got my Battlefield 2042 refunded, with more than 5 hours of beta gameplay last month.
FatalError 12 listopada 2021 o 4:40
Most likely no refund. On origin you get 24hrs to refund no matter how many hours you've played. That's an option. Otherwise EA play pro is 14,99 for a month, of course, if you end up buying the game then you pay a little extra, though you get a 10% discount.

Beta play time is not the same as Early Access playtime. The former does not count towards the 2 hour play time.
