You can queue a lot of games at the same time, but they download one after the other. Not much of a point having multiple games grow by 1 kB per second, is there?

But how?

You can not download multiple games at the same time. Due to overhead traffic involved it would slow all your downloads down.
Do them one by one and let Steam handle it.

You go into your game list, click one game and, while holding CTRL, you click as many others as you want. Then you let go of CTRL and right-click on any of the marked ones to choose "install game" from the context menu.

You know I'm old enough to remmebr when 1kb/sec was considered amazingly fast.

That's how its done.
As was said. there's no advantage to downloading multiple games simultaneously. It will at best take the same amount of time. and in all likelihood take a little longer.

Although I suppose if you were dead set on having to download multiple games at the same time. You get a second PC/Laptop, setup an alt account, family share to that account, download the other games while your main PC is downloading a game. Then transfer the secondary account's games to the main PC over your LAN.

That's a way you could technically download multiple games at the same time. But if it sounds complicated and inefficient, that's because it is. It's definitely a DiWHY solution.

Is post #4 invisible for anyone but me?

The "good old days" of having agonisingly slow internet. Then again, there were no 100 GB games to download.

It doesn't download the games simultaneously. One game is downloaded and all the others are queued to download in sequence. So what attention do you want people to give to post #4?

If the question was "how do I queue a lot of games to download at once", you've got it. As written, that doesn't seem to be what OP is asking.

Maybe. It's a little ambiguous. Reading his posts again he kinda seems like the helpless type. So I'm not completely convinced he's really differentiating.
