AMD External Events Utility taskbar conflict
So I have Steam on my taskbar but everytim I open it from there takes 15 seconds. I searched around Steam forums and people say the service AMD External Events Utility, if running opens it up instantly. I tried it and it works. So my question is does somebody know how to put it on startup because even though it is set up to start automatically, it never does, i have to start it manually. Or should this be something Valve should work on to help AMD produt owners?

Did anyone find a working solution yet? I tried everything I found online (restarting all AMD services from task manager) but it doesn't seem to make a difference. No biggie, but annoying. :steamsad:

I haven't found any solution yet. You're right... it's not a bit deal but annoying. I needed some time to do everything steam related via the icon in the "tray icon bar" :(

Just putting it out there, considering this is probably one of those long-lasting bugs that isn't going to get dedicated manpower to solve it...

This is one more of those things you should consider when deciding to buy AMD or Nvidia for your next game system. "Buy Nvidia instead" is facetious, but certainly works as a solution here.

As I said earlier. It's not a big deal and is really the only thing which was annoying at the beginning.

Honestly, after some time it may have solved it itself? I added something like a batch to startup to run it as soon as it could. At first it didnt work, but now it works, so that's my thing. But as said, yeah, it is just something annoying, but dos not deter anything that much.
