i know you can share most games with family but can you share movies to?

Have you uploaded some to Steam? More details
If you hgave uploaded them look in your profile Videos>open them select one then click on Comments and details below video is share copy that URL
Family Sharing is not the same.
There is broadcasting?

No, they are not shared. This applies to series as well. I believe software is also excluded, but I don't have any personal experience with that.
