[Q] - cant comment on steam profiles help

im a level 1 steam account and i try to do +rep to people but i just cant comment on nobody's profile unless they are in my friends list. any help ?

Could be that the settings only allow friends to post. Try to post on my profile, its avaible for everybody. But if you post something like + rep, .i will remove the post soon.

Pro tip: Don't comment anything "rep". Say something REAL, like if that person helped you, thank them for helping you. And yeah, comment on profile allowing you to comment on.

I'm going to guess you have a post cooldown. Non-friend profile comments, only about 10 total in a rolling 24 hour period of time.

You know, prevent users from spamming.

Posted on yours, see if you can post on mine now. If you can't and there is no red text, contact support and ask them for help.

To comment on someone's profile, as I know, you need to deposit 5$ on steam in order to being able to join groups, add friends, post on forums, comment, etc.

The OP is already level 1, this means the account is not limited.

I got the permissions to post on profiles BUT I don't know what I did. It might be that i did some community tasks. Put your cursor on your name at the main menu, then click badges, and scroll down to "Pillar of community". Let me know if it worked for you!
