Is this a scam?

Hi if I could get a Steam Admin or just some people to help me know if this is a scam. I got a message on discord saying that I scammed someone and they told me to speak to ChrisC#1310. They asked for a verification code to change my steam credentials. I didn't believe it but they said I have a pending bad request. Please help!

There's no pending bans. It's a common scam. Report them to Discord and block them.

Dude. That's obviously a scam. And remove the name, because they can simply cross-reference it to your account.

Let's just assume, for the sake of giving you an example, that I was trying to scam you on Discord. If I give you a name on Discord, and you post that name here, then I know your Steam account and your Discord account. That's what I mean. Don't you understand? It doesn't matter if its not your name.

No, not remove your own name, that doesn't help. Remove the other name. You still don't understand it.

There are no admins on this platform and Steam Support do not use the likes of Discord or conduct their business externally. Ignore, report and block.

It's a scam, support does not contact anyone period, they only reply to tickets made by the end user, tickets are made on Steam only no where else, as well tickets are can only be viewed under the Steam help section, no where else. Anyone claiming to be whatever outside ticket is a scammer, this includes, live chats, VoIP, discord, or etc as Steam support do not do any of these.
