Is valve using our PC's to bitcoin mine?

I thought it was pretty clear that they didnt. I was recently banned for pointing out that they dont. This whole thing seems pretty odd.

Super Monday Night Combat offered some shady mining program in return for in-game chest keys, pretty much Uber all over.

And a free VPN used spare bandwidth in return for server access.

So it does happen but I wouldn't want any part of it.

Its not irrelevant, actually everything I said is recorded until you will erase each of your 66 000 posts in last 6 years on CS GO forum, not here... and even then I think Mods can see that, or Steam Support defnetly...

No. Of course not, its a legitimate company, there not going to use your computer for all sorts of hidden things, else I would know about that, because I can see what processes are running on a computer. You don't have to worry about such things.

I don't need to look at your history to confirm when I see you in every other thread doing the same thing first hand. I'm not being toxic, i'm just trying to bring you back to reality. Thankfully steam support agrees with what the others and I are saying here about you, hence why they are choosing to ignore you and let the ban stay as it is.

I'll add paids mods are sometimes not the best at reading the room when they deal with reports. If you think it was issued wrong you can file a support ticket (I see you know how to do that already looking at your community messages), but the fact is still there that your ban had nothing to do with mining as you assume in the OP.

That's all nice and all, but the assumption was the individual was baiting people, when clearly even with your input it seems that was an error. Any mod can just say "oh hey look disagreement someones baiting someone else". The excuse is always "spend more time to write to support if you believe it's an error" (paraphrased), where support is likely going to blindly side with a moderator or as well, not look into context or bother to read (as I've also seen before). Shouldn't someone bother to read/get context before slapping a user around?

Telling a user their hardware isn't up to spec also isn't baiting, it's pointing out that the flawed logic is their post based off of specs being far too low. Users don't need warnings/bans for not writing it in a more eloquent way or up to someones standards. Afterall, if the OP can't say that, then you can't call users naive as that could also be seen as baiting people.
