EA Play: "How do I 'block' this properly?" or "How to 'Ignore' a publisher?"
Sorry if this is a duplicate but I couldn't find a similar thread when I was searching,
same goes if this is the wrong section, I guess... soo...

I just saw the Steam News about EA Play as a subscription service, read all of it and the only thing I could think was: "This is exactly what I don't want. Not in general and not on/in Steam specifically."

1. Is there an actual way to tell Valve that I don't want to see stuff like this?
I can't exactly leave a negative review, now can I?
Is there even any way to relay feedback on this? (other than what I'm doing right now or the classic 'Vote with your wallet': Just not paying for or using it.)
Let's face it: More than enough people will keep throwing their money at EA, despite their questionable business practices (I mean in generall, not this service in particular)

2. Can I somehow blacklist/ignore these kind of things on Steam?
It is listed similar to a game, but the 'shop page' is basically an advertisement.
I don't want to use any subscription service like this. I either buy a game or I don't.
What's really boggling my mind however is the discount on games for having a subscription. Who in their right mind pays money to get a discount? Just buy the thing you want in the first place!
(Funny thing is also, that I had 'ignored' all three games they had at the top as examples for games you get access to as part of the subscription.)

What is making this worse is the exclusive stuff that's apparently in the subscription. I might have misinterpreted this but it sounded to me that in the future you are basically not getting the full game if you don't have a subscription, even if you buy it for the full price, because the subscription includes 'exclusive content'.
In practice that would go as follows: Playing Battlefront or whatever? Sorry, This map is for subscribers only. Pay up or you can no longer play with your friends that already do.

3. Somewhat related to that, I guess:
Can I somehow 'Ignore' EA as a whole so I don't see them in the shop? Not just individual games.

Concerning the EA fans that will find this thread:
Yes, I'm poor. You can throw as much money at them as you want, I don't care.
No, I'm not butthurt, I'm concerned, maybe a bit grumpy but mostly tired.

If you find typos you can keep them. I usually don't make threads like this, so whatever.
Thanks for reading my wall of text / rant. Have nice day. :steamhappy:

The EA Play banner on the store page? No.

You can ignore EA through their publisher page but that will only ignore their games. They'll still show up on the store but be dimmed out.

Oh, I actually wasn't aware of this, now I feel a little dumb, since that basically solves half of my issue and it's an actual feature.
I'll check that out.
Thanks.
