The new Atari VCS classic controller, does it work on steam?

Hello fellow gamers, I was wondering if anyone has tried to map and use an Atari VCS classic joystick controller on Steam? I want to make sure that all of it's functions work before I go purchase one to play Atari vault games with it on my pc/ Laptop. There seems to be absolutely NOTHING on the entire internet about it working or not working with steam???? Plus it looks very well made, and if it works I can use it to play dark souls!

It's a PowerA controller and they are usually compatible with Steam. Worst case scenario you would have to remap a button or two
