The their VR headset is the best one atm.
So there is a big chance the handheld will be good too.
You obviously haven't looked at them - https://www.statista.com/statistics/1234106/epic-games-annual-revenue/
What are you talking about - decades would generate $100bn or more, do you have any idea how much that is and how hard that would be to spend?
I don't and you obviously don't either.
One thing you can always guarantee on a Steam forum is ignorance.
Of course nothing nowadays uses batteries except tv remotes.
Funny that your claiming ignorance. You are aware those revenue numbers aren't remotely what you are claiming them to be right?
#1. That is GROSS Revenue, it doesn't take into account the money they spent to generate that revenue.
#2. Of that money they only keep at most 12% of it, as most of it goes to the publisher.
#3. Those numbers include revenue from their game engine which is not a factor in discussing the epic store
#4. Its also including other revenue streams not tied to the store.
I mean did you even READ the article you linked, or did you just google and grab the first article you saw?
I'm actually quite aware of Epic's numbers as they have had to release a lot of info due to their failing lawsuit against apple. They have lost hundreds of millions of dollars each year despite their gross revenue.
https://mmofallout.com/epic-games-store-might-break-even-in-2027/
I can find the link from the thread I made before, but basically they are losing 100+ million a year with their exclusive deals and aren't even expecting to break even until 2027 at which point they will have accumulated over a BILLION dollar in losses.
So then over the next 15 years those losses have to be paid down before the store actually generates a profit. Having 5 billion dollars in sales doesn't mean much when it costs you 5.2 billion dollars to generate those sales.
But hey, I suppose its easier to call people ignorant then to do research to learn this stuff.
The biggest roadblock is when games depend on kernel-mode anti-cheat or DRM. Note Denuvo DRM is user-mode thus compatible with Proton.
...oh, yeah.
