VPN to activate a Key?

i want to buy a game that got some restrictions in my country, so i can't ''offically'' buy them from Steam. so i wanna buy it from a Keyseller, so i wonder, could i use a VPN to activate the Key (for exsample) in the US so i can download it in my country and play it?

i also know and read that it could be punished from Valve because i potentially violate the SSA (Steam Subscriber Agreement) with that VPN, so do you guys know something about it?

The only info you'll get here is that it's against the rules to do VPN shenanigans on Steam.

But yeah, region restrictions are stupid.

Those keys usually have OnlyAllowRunInCountries limitation too. So you will need to use VPN to play them too.

You can't use VPN to bypass region locks since forever, they blocked this method a while ago, you'll have to change your store/account region.

they expire after 3 months.

If ur account region is different than the key u want to activate then I won’t work. I think Steam has changed the key activating methods.

For example u can’t activate a RU key with a RU VPN on a French account. A VPN won’t work anymore.

I won't recommended using VPN. If they catch you u might lose your account. Not sure which game you are trying to buy. See if you can find it on another store or ....

btw, since the game is indexed in my country, shopowners are not allowed to make any advertisment of that game, you have to explicitly ask about that game.

Good way to get the account locked or stolen. Don't try to get a game on steam that they won't sell to your region. Buy a physical copy from another country and leave steam out of it.
