It says my account does not have permission to send messages to non friends anymore but i could before, why?

Send what messages exactly? Post on the profile of a random user or use the chat in some group? Or do you mean using the chat that's between friends?

I mean just generaly trying to send a direct message to people, ive tried doing it before and it worked but for some reason it doesn't work anymore

There's no way to send direct messages to people who aren't your friends.

It hasn't been possible to message non-friends in a long time. They made the change to combat scammers.
