Profile got hacked but not my account?

Some dude on discord randomly added me and linked my steam account asking "is this yours?" so I blocked him.

The stuff on my profile got taken off (I still have the backgrounds and other stuff in my inventory) and I do not see a level or badge. When I go to edit it just becomes a blank page.

I have steam mobile authenticator and checked my emails; no suspicious logins, passwords changes, etc. but I already changed my password just in case.

How do I get my profile back to where I can edit it?

Did you also "log in" on the link they gave you? If you, you fell for phishing and have to take the usual remediation spiel. Revoking your API key, deathorizing all other devices, change password.

nope, didn't send me a link or anything. I didn't click on a single link. and I've already done all 3 of those. it seems there was no attempt to actually log into my account, but rather just ♥♥♥♥ up my profile. i can't edit it at all, it just goes to a blank screen. and my level is 0

That may just as well be a server hiccup. Those happen.

yeah but this happened literally the first time I checked it like a minute after blocking that kid and I've never seen it happen before...

also my friends say my account also says level 0 for them

I personally don't see any level on your profile at all. But you being unable to edit it is a clear sign of a server hiccup.

It says level zero because the server is not able to fetch the details from your profile, most likely due to a server issue as mentioned above.

Coincidences happen. With millions of so of Steam users, every coincidence, no matter how unlikely, is bound to happen. It's like with lottery, someone's bound to win, no matter how unlikely winning is for any given person.

just looked at my steam profile of like 30 friends and saw that like 3 of my friends are getting affected by this too, glad to see it's a steam issue - that's a big sigh of relief
