Steam Market bots are annoying
Trying to set a buy price on csgo knives over $110.
I can tell a bot is targeting the same knife im interested in, if i set a buy price to beat the highest buy order, then within 5 minutes I am outbid by 5 cents, every time. Every adjustment I make I am outbid by 5 cents, its obviously automated. if I drop the buy order down to say $1 above the second highest price, then the bot drops it's buy order to 5 cents above again.
I've been playing cat and mouse with these bots for days and its getting a little annoying.

an easy fix would be to implement a capatcha on buy orders over $50 (armchair expert).

Na I do that a lot with a tabbed window.
Even if I’m happy with current market price I’ll play with the bidders if I find one active :)

Example: I like to refresh page quite often and stamp on any new buy order above mine.
And I was willing to pay market price in the first place.
Fear us.
It’s fun :)

It's hard to tell if it's a bot or not. If you suspect it's a bot you can report them and let Valve look into it.

there is a difference, you can tell its a bot by the consistent timing, its the same at 4 am and 5 pm.

Maybe through
"They are involved in theft, scamming, fraud or other malicious activity"
when reporting an account. Malicious activity is a very broad term

The subscriber agreement states
"You may not use Cheats, automation software (bots), mods, hacks, or any other unauthorized third-party software, to modify or automate any Subscription Marketplace process or the process of Steam account creation."
