Clearing cache
So I’ve cleared my cache before and I did it when my game files had mod folders in theM and that completely screwed everything to the point of games being completely unplayable I need to know if I remove these folders and clear my cache will it work or not cause I’m sick and tired of my games not working when I just want to play so please can anyone help me?

Why do you need to clear your cache my I ask? And I ask because after using Steam for seventeen years it's not something I've ever had to do.

You'll also want to mention what games you're modding and how they're modded. Because as is your post is extremely vague and it seems like you want specific answers.

The only game I’ve had to clear my cache for was valheim cause the console would not work I did some digging and saw that clearing my cache would help but i had no idea that my mods on payday 2 would cause a problem that’s the only game I’ve modded using https://modworkshop.net/ and ever since doing so has cause my games to not work I’m just hoping I don’t have to get a new pc and that there’s a fix for this

I suppose you can always remove your entire game directory. Any remnants of files should be deleted.
Install your game, check where its files are installed, then uninstall it, and remove all files that are left behind, by removing them manually.

If all else fails, just reinstall your system. You don't have to get another pc, because there is something wrong with your software. You can reinstall that, if you want. No worries.

Or do you mean uninstall steam?

No. Only uninstall the game that causes issues;
If you go to your library, right-click on said game title, then properties, then local files, then browse. That way, you can find the folder it installs the game files in.
Once you know that folder, just uninstall the game through your Steam interface, as you would normally uninstall a game (also by right-clicking, then manage, then uninstall), and then delete any files left in that folder, afterwards.

Once the game is fully uninstalled, and all remnants of files are also deleted, reinstall the game, and test if that solves the problem.
