If you've permanently moved to Russia take it up with steam support.
I live and study in Russia ! I`m FROM BRAZIL and I came to Brazil in dezember to be with my family and study online only during pandemic! My bank accounts and residence are still in RUSSIA!
Yes, pretty strange, because they took like 5 months to change my currency and I`m logging every day in Steam... They changed without my concerns... I`m trying to guess how I`ll change back to russian rubles when I`ll be back in Russia or I`ll have to wait also 5 months... Jesus Steam...
You have to physically change it via account details > update store preferences.
Your last purchase was 17th December 2020 which was you presumably making a purchase, after arriving in Brazil and forgetting about it.
Check your emails from December as it would have the purchase and the currency used to pay for it.
I dont like when people presume a history that isn`t true.
Here is the proof : https://ibb.co/mXRVJrL
Yes, they can change, as they did!
No, I came to brazil in december/2020, but didn`t buy anything in Brazilian Real, just in Rubles...
I just bought CSGO prime in another account last week...
What I`m thinking right now is that they saw my purchase in another account by my IP and changed the currency of this account also, which is very strange .... !
And did I presume or ask whether you had forgotten you had changed it? Oh! that is right I asked you to check your emails.
Secondly YOU have to PHYSICALLY change it as it does NOT auto-update to a new location.
I CANT CHANGE IT, JUST THEY CHANGE IT !
" Hi there,
As per informed previously, the Steam account region should be according to the region you are phisically located.
You'll be able to see all available payment methods for your region during the checkout process.
If you can't use any of the available payment methods, you may want to consider using a Steam Wallet code to add funds to your account.
Steam Wallet codes are vouchers that can be used to add credit to your Steam Wallet, which is available to users in all regions. Please visit your local game store or retailer's gift card section to find Steam Wallet cards that can be added to your Steam account.
See our Steam Wallet article for more information.

Ana "
They did NOT change it, they CANNOT change it as the settings are locked to your account.
"The Steam account region should be according to the region you are physically located".
In other YOU have to PHYSICALLY set it to a new region, it CANNOT be auto changed.
THEY CHANGED, BECAUSE I DIDN`T. It`s hard to understand ? Just one part of a brain is needed to realize it...
They changed because they saw by IP that I`m here. If you go to store preferences you WILL SEE A COOKIES stuff SAYING THAT THEY TRACK WHERE YOU ARE, BECAUSE OF TAXES.
Which part of - it CANNOT be auto changed as the SETTING is located in YOUR account details and is reliant on YOU changing it and YOU been honest where you are. The store setting determines which currency is used.
Support does NOT have direct access to your account. They ONLY have access to information to help with recovery.
Yes, It CAN BE CHANGED as IT GOT CHANGED! I`ll not argue with someone like you that will help in " NO ♥♥♥♥ ", I`ll leave you with your missguided thoughts... Thank you )

Your country is part of your Steam account settings. Your country setting affects what you see on the Steam store, the currency you see prices in, and the currency of your wallet.
If you have moved to a new country, or are living abroad for an extended period of time, you can update your Steam country setting when you complete your first purchase using a payment method from that country. If your location differs from your current Steam account store country setting you'll have an option to change your store region while you view your cart or as you complete your purchase.
If you are unable to complete a purchase using a payment method from the region you have moved to please contact Steam Support.
Thank you for reading.
