Do gifts expire?

I'm trying to gift a girl a game, but she doesn't really play atm.

If I were to gift her a game now.. and let's say 2 months from now, she logs in. Would the gift be there waiting? (does it expire?)

Or could she possibly accept the game from her steam mobile app?

Just saying, I stopped gifting my wife years ago cause she stopped playing games years ago, but I try to let her know that I miss her... its a 30 days hold and I miss her and wish she would play, so much!!

No. Does not matter if you own it or not, if you buy a game as a gift you have to send it right at that moment and the one receiving the gift has 30 days to accept it.
If they dont accept in that time the game gets automatically refunded to you.
