Steam not showing me on the friend list of my friends

I'm level 220 and my profile is public but i don't know why i don't appear on the list of my friends

Been an issue for months. It is on/off if it shows or not.

If you're on someone's friend list but doesn't appear on their profile, it probably means that the person blocked you on steam.

It's just how steam friend list works. You can try blocking someone on your friend list (this doesn't remove them from your friend list) and they will not appear on your profile. If the person in question didn't block op then maybe it's a bug that I haven't heard of.

I found a solution. just go up the level and it reappears in the list.

That didn't work for me and my friend, we tried unfriending and re-adding, even tried to unfriend someone else for them to show up but just some other friend went in that place even though their level is lower

Ive spent some time today looking into this issue

And it appears to be a function of the "Only Friends" privacy setting

Yes, if people block you, you wont show up in their friends list,
but you can easily check if you're blocked by them by sending them a trade offer (it wont work, and say they have more details on their end)

If you set your profile to "Friends only" then your public steam level shows as 0 (Zero)

I set my profile back to public, however it took more than 5 hours for steam to return my profile level (didnt time how long it takes, but its not quick) and put me back on my friends list
