Why doesn't Steam get the platinum trophy from PS for getting all achievements for many games?

I noticed quite a few games I have are missing the achievement that is unlocked when you unlock all other achievements, referred to as "platinum" trophy on PlayStation.

Not that this really matters since I'm not an achievement hunter anyway, but it just seems weird that developers go out of their way to remove an achievement for Steam.

Just to name a few games I have that don't have this ultimate achievement:
- Resident evil 2 and 3 remake
- Hitman reboot games
- Dishonored games
- AC Odyssey and Origin

yeah but they put it on PS4, so I don't see it as not creating it on steam, but actually removing it from steam. In my mind it's easier to just copy paste the same list of achievements over to different platforms than making one for PS4 and then removing it for Steam or specifically make one for PS4 and not for Steam.

I’d say difficulty is irrelevant.

So far, but I haven't really checked my library specifically for this, I only happend upon this for those games:
- Resident evil 2 and 3 remake

So there are probably a lot more out there who's missing a PS-exclusive trophy.

Not quite as simple as copy and paste but your free to post in one of those games forums and ask them why.

nah it's ok, I was asking purely out of curiosity, I don't care enough about this to go complain in each of those forums lol.

"Platinum trophies" exist on Playstation retail (and some PSN) game because Sony demands it as part of their publication standards. Some developers carry this over on to Steam in the form of standard "all achievements unlocked" achievements such as Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, but Steam already has the "perfect game" counter and showcase so these achievements are effectively moot. In the end it's up to the developers and, since they're not being forced like they are on other platforms, many opt not to include one.

Not really. The thing is they don't see it as worth the effort.
If you're whining about the lack a platinum cgheevo trophy you've already bought and played the game for some time. They have your money.

Besides. Seeing as devs will add new cheevos to a game,, weither directly or via dlc, it would cause more problems and whining if people logged in one day and discovered their precious platinum trophy has gone poof.

well what happens on the PS4 when a game gets new DLC trophies? Does the platinum trophy disappear? They can just do whatever they do for the PS on Steam.
And asking a question isn't "whining". I literally said I'm asking out of curiosity and don't really care, if it were not for you people to keep posting here I would have just let this topic die.
