So why exactly are "Steam" guides hidden?
When I say "Steam" guides, I don't mean actual individual game guides. I mean guides that are created under the Steam hub.

I can find these sometimes when searching for something specific about Steam.

Here's an example of one:

If I want to view other guides for example, or anything really, I would normally click on a tab above, and on a normal hub it would take me to that section. No matter which tab I click on a "steam" section, it takes me right to the Steam discussions. So it remains hidden.

So what gives? Why hide this? There are actually some pretty useful guides you can find for Steam hidden away under this.

Yeah Good question.
Most guides are members content, and personalized games related so you ask for it in the Community or Help and Tips. Workshop. then follow that member .

for example.
a guide for guides help
https://steamcommunity.com/guides/
Jimo guides.

This discussion you started could be posted in Suggestions and Tips for Steam.

Google them and bookmark.

It's hidden because Steam isn't supposed to have that kind of community hub. Users figured out that it has a hidden hub by merit of how its depot is configured and used a trick, that being a manual URL hijack, to implant guides where they are not meant to be. Since it's been relatively harmless, Valve hasn't done anything to stop it.
